What you need

Step by step

1. Install OffgridCam on both iPhones.
2. On the spare iPhone, choose the Camera role and position it with a clear view of the crib, plugged into power.
3. On your own iPhone, choose the Viewer role and scan the QR code shown on the Camera to pair the two — no account or sign-up involved.
4. Once paired, the Viewer starts receiving live video and audio directly over your home WiFi.
5. Turn on sound detection so the Camera flags crying specifically, rather than every small noise in the room.
6. Optionally enable "Turn Screen Off" on the Camera so it keeps streaming without lighting up the room, and set a recording mode if you want clips saved locally.

If you need to check in from outside the house
