OffgridStem Now Separates 6 Stems Instead of 4

August 2026

OffgridStem's latest update just passed App Store review, and it changes what the app can actually do: separation has gone from 4 stems to 6. Piano and guitar now come out as their own stems, instead of getting bundled into a general "other instruments" track.

What's new

OffgridStem now separates a track into: vocals, drums, bass, piano, guitar, and other instruments — six stems from a single pass, still entirely on-device. If you've been isolating piano or guitar parts by ear, or fighting with a generic "instrumental" stem that has both blended together, this update is for you.

Same on-device architecture

Nothing about how the app handles your audio has changed — separation still happens entirely on your iPhone, with no upload, no account, and no subscription. The update is purely about what the model can isolate, not how it processes your data.

Update now

The 6-stem update is live now — update through the App Store, or download OffgridStem for the first time.
