Yokai Kingdom is a monster-raising and dungeon-defense game painted in the style of Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints. You are the Demon King, and your yokai grow up in real time: feed them, train them, play with them and tuck them in at night. How you raise them decides what they become.
Raise in real time
Hatch an egg and raise a tiny soul flame. Feed, train, play, clean and rest; your yokai gets hungry, tired or sick if you forget, and it has a bedtime. Training is a set of quick mini-games.
Evolve into 30 forms
Five Mature branches (kappa, red oni, fox spirit, tanuki, yasha), each with three Ultimate forms: one for a well-raised yokai, one for a balanced one, and a comeback form for one that had a rough life.
Dig a living dungeon
Dig soil rich in nutrients or mana and wild creatures are born from it. A real food chain: they hunt, lay eggs, mutate and evolve. Magic circles swallow creatures and release something stronger.
Drive off the heroes
Warriors, ninja, onmyoji, monks and mountain ascetics invade in waves to carry off your Demon King. Send in your yokai as Guardians, set traps and unleash special moves.
Forge legendary gear
Combine shards on the alchemy circle; fuse and reforge up to Legendary gear with a divine skill.
Collect them all, then keep playing
Fill the codex and the evolution tree. Two story chapters with 70 battles, rotating elemental festivals, a monthly extreme stage, the Holy Night festival every winter, and an endless mode.
