Threads MCP
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what Offgrid Studio ("we," "us") collects when you use Threads MCP, a service that connects your Threads account to Claude so you can post, schedule, and review performance through conversation. It applies to anyone who connects a Threads account to Threads MCP.
What we collect
- Threads account data — your Threads user ID, username, and an access token issued by Threads when you authorize the connection. The token lets us post and read on your behalf; we never see your Threads password.
- Content you create through the service — post text, media files you upload, scheduling times, and comment replies you send via Threads MCP.
- Usage data — how many posts you've made in a billing period, and, on paid plans that include it, periodic snapshots of your follower count and post engagement (likes, replies, reposts, views) so we can show growth over time.
- Billing data — if you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details directly; we store your subscription status and plan tier, not your card number.
- Technical data — basic server logs (timestamps, error messages) used to keep the service running and to debug problems.
What we don't collect
We don't read your Threads direct messages, don't access posts or accounts you haven't explicitly connected, and don't sell any of the data described above to third parties.
How we use it
- To publish, schedule, and manage posts and replies at your instruction.
- To enforce the usage limits of your plan (for example, monthly post quotas).
- To show you analytics about your own account, if your plan includes it.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To keep the service secure and diagnose faults.
Who we share it with
- Threads / Meta — we send your instructions (post, reply, etc.) to Threads' own API in order to carry them out.
- Supabase — our database and file storage provider, which holds your account records, scheduled posts, and uploaded media on our behalf.
- Stripe — our payment processor, for anyone on a paid plan.
- Cloudflare — our hosting provider, which runs the service and processes requests in transit.
We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and post data for as long as your Threads account stays connected. Uploaded media not attached to a still-pending scheduled post is deleted automatically after a few days. If you disconnect Threads MCP or ask us to delete your data, we remove your account record and associated scheduled posts — see "Your choices" below.
Your choices
- Disconnect — revoke Threads MCP's access at any time from your Threads account settings. Your stored access token becomes invalid immediately.
- Delete your data — request full deletion of your account record and scheduled posts by emailing [email protected], or through Threads' own data deletion request flow.
- Cancel billing — manage or cancel your subscription any time via the manage_subscription tool or directly in Stripe's billing portal.
Security
Access tokens and billing identifiers are stored encrypted at rest and only used by the service to carry out actions you've asked for. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't retain more than we need to run the service.
Children
Threads MCP is not directed at anyone under the minimum age required to hold a Threads account, and we don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and, where required, notify connected accounts.
