How to Change OffgridStem's Language on iPhone (Add a Second Language First)

OffgridStem can run in more than one language, and iPhone lets you pick a language for a single app without changing the rest of your phone. There's one catch: if your iPhone only has one language set, the option to choose a language for the app doesn't appear at all.

This is how iOS works for every app, not a limit of OffgridStem. The fix takes about a minute: add a second language to your iPhone first.

Step by step

1. Open Settings and go to General, then Language & Region.
2. Under your language list, tap Add Language (it may be labelled Other Languages) and choose the language you want OffgridStem to use.
3. iPhone asks whether to switch the whole phone to that language. Choose to keep your current language, so only the language list changes.
4. Go back to the main Settings screen and open OffgridStem. On recent versions of iOS it's under Apps; on older ones, scroll down the main Settings list.
5. Tap Language and pick the language you added.
6. Open OffgridStem. It should now appear in that language.

If the app still looks the same, force quit it and open it again. Restarting the iPhone also works.

What this changes, and what it doesn't

• Only OffgridStem changes. Your iPhone and your other apps keep their language.
• The extra language stays in your list, so other apps that support it will show a Language option too.
• To go back, open OffgridStem in Settings and pick your original language again.

Why can't I see a Language option for OffgridStem?

Your iPhone only shows a per-app Language setting when it has more than one language added. If only one language is set, the option is hidden for every app. Add a second language in Settings, General, Language & Region, and it will appear.

Will this change the language of my whole iPhone?
